TERESA MARTINEZ
Teresa is a fixture in the Mat-Su community, volunteering for many of our events including Project Homeless Connect, Stuff the Bus and Play 60. She is a proud mother and grandmother whose family can be seen volunteering and participating in these events and more around the Valley. She often brings her grandson Dominik along, and he too has become a regular volunteer.
Originally from Texas, Teresa enjoys
Mat-Su Miners baseball games, spending time with her grandchildren, reading, movies and keeping up with Alaskan sports like mushing.
Teresa was a 2019 nominee for the UWMS Volunteer of the Year award, and has worked as a childcare provider and companion and caregiver to the elderly, visually-impaired and those in need for many years.
