Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities
We need YOU to help us with projects around the Mat-Su!
UWMS will be participating in several upcoming community events, and we could use YOUR help! Event volunteers are invited to assist with the below activities, for the whole day, or just for an hour or two. Your presence will help us to engage with the public, provide free, fun activities for families, and easily set up and break down our booth or station. Or, sign up for our fall playground cleanup at Alpine Historical Park in Sutton. Read More Below:
Saturday, July 18 | 11am-3pm
Arts in the Garden Festival, Palmer Pavilion (across from Palmer Museum)
Volunteers are needed to do our arts and crafts station, staff the UWMS info table and engage with the public throughout the day.

Monday, July 27 & Tuesday, July 28 | STUFF THE BUS
Join us to help MSBSD K-12 students get ready for the first day of school! Volunteers are needed on both Monday, July 27 (setup day) and Tuesday, July 28 (event day).

THRIVEFEST @ the Menard Sports Center
Staff activity stations, music lab, ice skating, Art Lab and Video Games with Thrive Mat-Su. This fun festival is in conjunction with the Northgate Alaska Shoe Giveaway and Carnival.

Alpine Historical Park mural painting and cleanup
We will be back out in Sutton at Alpine Historical Park continuing our work to spruce up the playground and walking trails.
If you are artistically inclined, please let us know! We will also be repainting and touching up many of the murals and artwork around the playground.
