Thrive Mat-Su Welcomes Matt Clayton!

Matt Clayton is the new Youth Programs Coordinator with Thrive Mat-Su!
Matt has more than 15 years of experience working with youth as a youth minister as well as leading The Crux, a youth center he helped start, for nine years. Most recently, Matt served as the Outreach Coordinator at MY House for two years. Matt and his family moved to Alaska three years ago.
Matt has been an instrumental member of a recent ACEs and Resiliency cohort, presenting comprehensive, compassionate workshops on ACEs around the Valley. He is also an active member of Mat-Su COAD (Community Organizations Active in Disaster), and is always looking for tech-savvy, modern ways to connect across communities using social media, technology and communications innovation.
They love camping and hiking as they explore our beautiful state. Matt and his boys enjoy Lego especially during our long winters. He graduated from Southern Wesleyan University in 2001.
