MAT-SU VOAD

Mat-Su VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) is a network of local businesses, nonprofits, faith-based groups, and government agencies working together to strengthen our community’s ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters—both natural and manmade. By enhancing communication, cooperation, coordination, and collaboration, we help ensure a more organized and effective response during and after emergencies.

We invite all community members to get involved. Mat-Su VOAD is actively seeking volunteers to serve on our working committees. These committees are vital to ensuring that when disaster strikes, we are ready to meet the needs of our community quickly and effectively.

Our meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at the Mat-Su Borough Emergency Operations Center (EOC), located at 1800 E. Parks Highway, Wasilla, AK 99654. To learn more or to get involved, please contact Jennifer Walther at outreach@unitedwaymatsu.org.
