Help McKinley Fire Survivors Rebuild This Summer!
Volunteers Needed!
The McKinley Fire Long Term Recovery Group anticipates a busy summer of assisting McKinley Fire survivors in rebuilding their homes. The LTRG invites community members to volunteer for a number of tasks that will help survivors return to their pre-disaster living conditions, such as:
- preparing properties for building to begin
- basic framing, carpentry and home construction
- landscaping and yardwork
- staffing our donations warehouse
- flooring installation
- helping families move appliances and furniture into new homes
With your help, we can restore the Upper Su area and provide fire survivors with safe, welcoming housing. Volunteers will be needed throughout the summer and into fall.
Volunteers will need the ability to travel into the Upper Su area, and must agree to adhere to all applicable COVID-related mandates and safe distancing, PPE, and sanitation protocols. Volunteers must provide own transportation and be ready to work outdoors.
