This week, a McKinley Fire family received the gift of a new home for several of its members.

The 14’x 50′ Atco trailer had been retrofitted as living quarters by MEA, and was donated by them to benefit a family in need of a new home.
Additionally, MEA included a three-stall bathhouse that is ready to be hooked up to hot water.
Our amazing friends at Towz R Us and Scrap Alaska Pilot Car Services made a “night move”, towing and piloting the structures into the fire area and right up to the family’s property.

We are so grateful for the support of our community as we continue to work toward full disaster recovery in the Upper Susitna area! Our Valley businesses are doing big jobs with BIG heart.

Thank you!
