United Way of Mat-Su has been committed to safe, accessible, updated and engaging parks, playgrounds and public spaces for over 35 years. UWMS has played an instrumental role in the building and upkeep of many beloved Valley parks and playgrounds:

• Founding supporters of Alpine Historical Park & Playground, built in 2014.

• Annual cleanups and grounds work at the Park

• Collaboration with Alpine Historical Society

• Created Born Learning interactive trail at Wasilla Wonderland playground

• Palmer Amoosement Park: Safety improvements such as brush and tree clearing, old equipment removal/repair and painting

• Iditapark Ninja Course and ground cover (Wasilla)

• Fairfield Park Basketball Hoop Replacement (Palmer)

• Hagen Park playground equipment replacement (Palmer)

• Meadow Lakes Community Park collaboration
